Your apartment in the mountain village of Le Monetier-les-Bains, Serre Chevalier is an ideal holiday home for a couple or young family and sleeps up to 4 people. It has one double bedroom, and two single sofa beds in the lounge which leads to a sunny south-facing terrace with fantastic views of the Ecrins mountains and Serre Chevalier pistes. 

There is a shared heated pool with beautiful views and a sauna and hammam (Turkish steam room) available for your use.

You can also enjoy free Wifi, Smart TV and Blu-ray/DVD player or enjoy your music collection on the Ipod dock. 

Chamoissiere is ideal for a summer holiday in Serre Chevalier too, with the heated pool open daily from mid-June to mid-September. 

Except for peak season your arrival and departure days are flexible, with a minimum charge of just 3 or 4 nights.

Prices are inclusive of bed linen and cleaning on departure. 

We are sorry but the apartment is not suitable for the disabled. 

 Up to 2 dogs are welcome to join you and they are also welcomed in many restaurants and bars. We do make a charge for your dog of 20€ per stay to cover the additional cleaning charges.

Who we are. 

We are Julian and Helen Beaumont, and we've been the owners of our apartment in the Chamoissiere residence since 2005. We spend many of our own holidays here in both summer and winter with our grown up children and our dogs. We've tried to make it a real home from home, so you can be assured it will be comfortable and well-equipped. You can book directly with us for the best prices and a personal service. 

Where we are 

Apartment Chamoissiere is situated in Le Monetier-les-Bains, Serre Chevalier, France. With traditional alpine villages and an authentic French atmosphere, you can enjoy the 250km of the Grand Serre Chevalier pistes on your doorstep in winter.

You will be just 200m from the main Bachas chairlift, ski school meeting point and the nursery slopes.

Le Monetier-les-Bains is less than 2 hours' drive from both Turin and Grenoble airports in the Haute-Alpes department (05). It is a 9–10-hour drive from the ferry ports of Northern France.

Summer Activities

In summer, there is rafting, kayaking, mountain biking on the river Guisane and Durance.

 The mythical climbs of the Tour de France, Cols du Lauteret, Izoard, Galibier and Echelles are on our doorstep for the more adventurous visitors to the valley.

We have many options for walkers and hikers just yards from the door and have provided books and maps in the apartment of walking and mountain biking routes in the area. 

Coming with your dog

We have been bringing our own dogs to Serre Chevalier for 12 years, it is just like a home from home for them. With so many walks nearby, your dog will love it, they can play in the many streams and pools then laze on the shady terrace while you enjoy relaxing with a book and a drink in the sun.

Our grounds are shared with other apartment owners although we are in a quiet corner away from the pool area where you are unlikely to be disturbed. If your dog needs secure gardens, Chamoissiere is probably not for you, but you do have easy access to the covered terrace and garden through the patio doors from the lounge. 

Dogs are welcome in many of the bars and restaurants, so there is no need to leave them behind on a day or evening out. 

In winter they just love playing in the snow. There is room for up to two dogs, and we make a charge of 20€ to cover extra cleaning. We are not able to make exceptions for the numbers of dogs due to residence restriction.

Please contact your vet prior to your stay with us to ensure your dog is compliant with new regulations now the withdrawal from the EU is completed. A  UK pet passport is no longer valid for entry into the EU  and an Animal Health certificate from a UK vet or pet passport issued in the EU is needed for travel, along with a valid rabies vaccine.
