  • Beautiful views and a lovely cosy apartment a short walk away from the pistes. We have had a wonderful time, and can't wait to return next winter.

  • Beautiful Apartment and very well equipped, ideal for 2, good bedding (140), nice terrace. The residence is one of Monetier's most beautiful, quiet, with a beautiful heated pool and close to everything. Melanie is available and very nice for communication and information.

  • We had a very comfortable 4 days in your chalet which is superbly located and really well equipped. The weather was fantastic and we had the last weekend of the pool & sauna being open. The dogs loved their walks up and around the mountains right opposite the chalet, and swimming in the nearby lake. We ate out in a couple of the local restaurants which were very nice too. Thank you!

  • Just to let you know we had another fabulous week in your apartment in Monetier. The weather was amazing apart from the last day when we were leaving and it was raining! We popped out to La Fruitiere again and the lovely Bluebird Cocktail Bar, headed up the Bachus chairlift and walked back down and watched 2 stages of the Tour de France before heading to Paris to watch the final day. J did the Etape du Tour and I cycled up to the Col du Lauteret for a nice lunch!

Already thinking about when we can revisit!

  • My husband and I, together with our two dogs have just returned from chalet chamoissiere. The apartment is one of the best equipped we have ever stayed in, we wanted for nothing. After a 13 hour drive from Calais the complimentary wine was so well received, thanks Helen.

Our dogs loved their daly walk into monetier- les- bains where they usually shared some of their mums croissant. Not to worry they soon walked it off whilst walking to the lakes in the nevache area and a good way up the mountain opposite the apartment . My westie has torn his cruciate ligament previously and was struggling with the steepness, however his dad carried him towards the top on top of his rucksack, he never misses out.
We had a fantastic meal at La Peche Gourmande in Briancon very special however great value for money . The Italian coffee shop in old Briancon is excellent for cakes and coffee .
Bit disappointed that dogs are not allowed in the Ecrin National Park, thought they would have been allowed on a lead.
The scenery is fantastic, we are regular hill walkers in the Lake District however we were blown away with the views. " Valium for the soul."

Serre chevalier should be on everyone's bucket list and is a haven for our furry pals, can't wait to return and intend to revisit for a month next year as part of my retirement present to myself .

Thanks Helen for all your assistance and recommending the fab restaurant.

Guess I will cherish the memories by looking at the photos and drinking wine.

  • Chalet Chamoissiere was a great location for us during the 2014 Tour de France period. Watched an exciting Alpine stage just down the road and then enjoyed tackling a number of the famous climbs afterwards. The Chalet is very well equipped and the pool complex great. Enjoyed the village which had a good range of things to do and places to eat. Also enjoyed a trip to the spa baths - sitting in a hot tub looking out on a glacier on a sunny summer evening was a real treat.

  • Had a great week, lovely apartment and the Hammam/Sauna were to die for :)
L and I are both smitten and may well buy out here next year to retire!

  • The apartment was excellent...very comfortable and fully equipped even including dishwashing tablets!!..ideally located for the slopes and ski lifts. The pool, sauna and hamman we're really good too. Monetier itself is a lovely village and we were able to ski the whole of the Serre Chevalier area easily from here and even though half term week the lift queues were not long at all. We hired a car to get from Grenoble airport and definitely recommend hiring snowchains at this time of year to get over the pass. It snowed the day we drove in and we wouldn't have made it without them! We would recommend this apartment and ski resort

  • We had an absolutely fab time at the chalet. We drove up from Nice and the journey was so worth while. We enjoyed road and mountain bikes and lots of mountain walking. The added facilities of the pool and sauna were much appreciated, we really enjoyed a perfect holiday. The chalet was great and we would very much love to return next year if we are able to.

  • We had a wonderful time and found the chalet and the village enchanting. It went a long way to make up for the disappointment we had earlier in the week. We appreciate you accommodating us at such short notice and would like you to extend our thanks to M. she was a real gem.

  • We booked this apartment at the last minute when our hotel booking in another village fell through. And what a lucky coincidence that turned out to be. The apartment is located at the foot of the ski run / piste in Le Monêtier-les-Bains, a lovely little village near Briancon. For skiing in the winter, or tramping in the summer, it could not be more perfectly located.
We were there in the warmer months and enjoyed the walks up the mountain side, the views and the clean air.
Clearly the family that owns this unit use it often, as it is equipped with everything you could possibly want and extremely comfortable, practical and functional. The kitchen is small but cleverly designed and perfect for even the most fussy of cooks. A comfortable bedroom, bathroom with shower and washing machine, living room and small terrace complete the accommodation.
The complex also contains a heated pool, sauna and steam rooms plus change-rooms and ski lockers - ideal for a visit any time of year.
Thank you again Helen for your hospitality, and Mel for your on-site assistance.

  • We arrived at the chalet in February 2012. The listing was completely as described. It was a well-appointed chalet very convenient to the lifts. It was in excellent condition and very clean. A charming village with some very good restaurants is nearby. The rental is managed onsite by a very competent and pleasant young woman who went out of her way to make our stay wonderful. We would definitely recommend this property.

  • Chalet Chamoissiere was just like a home from home. We'd just like to say that we really appreciated the level of detail in the apartment. We have stayed in a lot of places and yours is amongst the best equipped we have come across. This level of detail shows that you care about your guests, and it is very much appreciated. IM.

  • This is the 2nd time we've stayed here, although we've been coming to Serre Chevalier for many years and were again met by Mel the local contact who is just a phone call away if you need any help. There are lots of homely touches in the apartment & after our long drive from Yorkshire the complementary bottle of red was a welcome sight. The location is great, just a few minutes from the slopes which is perfect when you've got small children in ski school. The apartment is clean & pleasantly decorated, & although a little on the small side there's plenty of space to store everyone's stuff. The pool was extremely popular with our children & they looked forward to their apres-ski swim each day. Monetier has some lovely restaurants but the well-equipped kitchen meant it was really easy to cook a meal and thanks to the TV & DVD player enjoy a relaxing night in.
As always the skiing & snowboarding in Serre Chevalier was amazing, which is why we keep coming back every few years. Don't leave without going to Monetier's thermal baths (boys will need speedos). We would definitely stay here again & would happily recommend it.

  • A small high quality apartment in a proper village. A picture postcard setting and authentic France with a good ski area. The link from Monetier into the rest of the Serre Chevalier ski area is now much easier than it used to be.

  • Very pleased with the accommodation, the location and the whole experience. Will definitely stay again!

  • The apartment is superbly equipped and of course has the added attractions of the swimming pool, sauna etc.

A friendly welcome from Mel helps it all go very smoothly.

The skiing was great and Monetier is a lovely village with a great selection of restaurants.

  • I found La Chamoissiere whilst doing an internet search for the second week of a two week summer break to France. We drove over from the Dordogne comfortably in a day, stepped in the door and felt at home. My mother who was with us for a couple of days wanted to move in, our 5 year old declared the bed the most comfortable she had ever stayed in and my husband sat on the terrace with his glass of wine and marvelled at the view of what are now "our" mountains.

Helen and Julian have thought of everything, the chalet uses every available inch of space and is supremely well equipped and comfortable.
